May 10th, 2010. What a day! David, 8-) our fearless leader, Wanting to do a Society hunt - Called all that can join to come to Twins - were he handed out guns and ammo. What should we hunt??? What can we do but rattle our brains!! We all thought about Armaxs' and Allophys.
Team consisted of : David, Cyberius CYB, UTher Uth, Paulo Mits, Marco picamo, Omega Dan, Benjamin Ben, (guest) Gary Goober, and Cuilwen (me)
WE started on Armaxs' west of Minopolis, slow but we continued then :o Woot and we got a global on a Armax.
Things slowed down then we headed to Limnadian District to go hunt the Allophy's. We did not global on a Alloply, but we did global on their cousins the Estophy.
:D
If anyone onthe team remembers more detail to our great day plz feel free to add ;)

Another Day - another chance for our Society to get another Global or HOF.
David started a Team, yet everyone was out doing there own thing.
At some point after doing a bit of Crafting - I shouted out to Ben and wondered if he like to go hunt with me some Argonauts North of Twins (of course we go Eco - I had my TT knife, and a Emik s30) Ben came just in time when my TT knife broke and we both had our Emik's. A few mins later, Woot the bells went off. :D :o :D

Well chalk another one up for the boys of "Intel/Recon".

Today (May 14th 2010) Dawned bright and early, and I and my "Intel Trainee" (Rick Whatever Janson) had been busy the night before mapping out areas from Outback Land Area 01, to Nate Valley, and we had decided to this day do a wide sweep of a number of land areas from Nate Valley to Oyster Island (and this included Outback Land Area 15, PVP4, OLA 40 (Atrox Valley), and even Rei's Defense and Sakura City.. (In all about 9 hours time of gathering information on the surroundings of Amathera..

Well about mid-day we had just arrived at Rei's Defense, and I knew we were going to head for Sakura and the last time I've been through the area, there was hardly anything between me and the river.

But remember this was "The Last time" some 5 months earlier, and in a way things had changed..

So anyway we started to head out to the North and as we started to leave, we were startled by the sound of the auto turret gun around the TP going off, We saw to the north, a large brown body laying on the ground.. I examined it closely.

"Dang," I said, "There's argos in the region." I turned to Rick and said, "Stay on your toes, We got argos.. and from the look of it, BIG ones."

Rick just nodded and soon both of us (who were already armored up, got out guns ready.. Rick with his Soulmate Opalo, and me with my first LR32 (not the one I "Tiered out Recently, but my very first LR32, which still had plenty of life left on it.)

I checked my ammo and realized that I had about 120 shots tops. And there was a good 200-400 meters to get to the river..
and that there were argos to the north..

Not really good odds...

So we headed towards the north and east towards the river, and soon Rick and I were dodging and weaving our way through the argos.. and things were going fine, but then we saw them blocking our way..

Not 1, not 2, but 3, (yes 3) Argo Raiders..

Oh man, this was going to be tough.. I thought to myself.

I figured myself that I could take down all three before I went through all the ammo.. so I told Rick to hang back a little and let me pull them in.. So he followed orders and hung back, as I beaded in and pulled the first one in.. But when I hit the first one, the other two realized that they were being bushwhacked.. so just like the argos they were, they did the logical thing..

"Dogpile" on Ben Coyote, a.k.a. "The Blind Sniper" a.k.a "The Mob Magnet of Temporal Destinies."

All three of them came straight at me, and then one of them figured out that Rick was hanging back from me, and decided to turn on him. Meanwhile, I was busy taking the two that had dogpiled on me, and While I was busy with my two, the third one decided to try and nail Rick.

"Incoming!" I yelped into the commlink as Rick got his gun up and fired..

Meanwhile I had finished off one and was busy working on the other..

The third which was charging at Rick suddenly did an about face for a moment and came charging at me, then suddenly it did something unexpected...

It changed its' mind and went back on Rick.

Rick was stunned as I was at how fast the Raider that had initially come towards him, turned around and came at me, then turned around again and went back to Rick, and even though he had a low level FAP (A Vivo T1), the Raider decided to take down Rick.. and did so in a hurry..

Too late for me to save Rick as I finished off Raider Number 2, and looted it (as Rick revived back at Rei's).

"I'm coming back to help you", Rick called back. but frankly I was peeved.. and rightly so.

But I gotten the second one out of the way and looked at the third Raider that had just nailed Rick I noticed that his logic and intelligence failed him.. or maybe the Raider just stood there grinning with his back to me, figuring on what he had just done to Rick and frankly I did the only thing I could do.

"Time for a Little payback you freakin hairy ape." I literally snarled into my comlink as I quickly looked at my gun...

29 shots.. that was it.. The first two Raiders had burned up over 100 shots of ammo save for 29 shots..

After that? I would be on TT knives and Swords, (and a TT Powerfist to boot.)

Oh man, let's see if I can do this. I thought to myself..

I sighted in and got a bead on the back of that grinning Raider's head..

and popped a shot off at him.. He just stood there but I could tell through my scope I had connected. But he just stood there, even though he had been hit. It was like I had just slapped him with a 2 by 4 piece of wood.

So I popped him again...

And I think the second time, the raider got the message.

He turned and started Charging me, and I kept pumping shot after shot into the beast..

I was also mentally counting my shots and watching my health, I was literally in what I like to call "Wits Mode" and I was keeping my self alive, with my wits.

and the thing was I was watching the ammo count go down, and I knew I would run out in less than 10 shots.

But the thing was that I was winning the war, and giving this ape some payback for what he had done to Rick, and with interest on top of the payback.

"Come on, Come On!" I growled.. "Drop already!"

The shot counter began to wind down, 7...6...5...4...3...shots left...

and after I fired that shot.. He finally dropped.. and suddenly it happened..

Swirlies!..

I snapped out of "Wits Mode" and looked at me.. I had gotten off quite well, with about 90% of my health left..and I looked at my ammo count.. 2 shots... that's all that was left..

2 shots between potentially going "Melee " and not.

But as I looked over the carnage, Rick came running back to where I was.

"I could have helped you." he replied.. "I was almost there." he added.

I wrought to avenge my intel trainee, I looked over at the loot.. and the fact that I had gotten another global for Temporal Destinies..

But what I saw was amazing.. my largest "Team Global going 'solo'" in a long while.. 197 PED...

The Loot? A Full TT CB-19 (L)imted (180 PED!) and a Kango mask and a few other items...

But believe me, I owe Rick 90 PED at the moment, (as I still have to buy out his half of the CB19, but Rick, you were in team, and I owe you that much, even if you did die, you earned 90 PED.)

But I did give him half of the pay for the Kango, and that was a nice little payday for him..(7.23 PED)

But Like a Man of honor, He's getting that 90 PED..even if I have to take it out of my own intel pay.. Cause Rick buddy, you earned it..

Anyway we finished up 9 hours of work, and have been putting the intel together (and you'll start finding our work under the information section.)

As for me? I'm bushed.. time for this "Blind Sniper" to hit the hay.

After all when you're intel and recon.. you know the job was dangerous when you took it, but in the end? It has it's perks as well.

and as Proof here's the shot.

Okay, I'm out, will catch you guys later..

Benjamin 'Ben' Coyote, a.k.a. "The Blind Sniper"
Third Circle Temporal Destinies, (part of "Intel and Recon")

over and out.

To quote a Baseball term: 'Double Play'.

Thanks to Rick (Whatever) Janson and myself, the boys of Temporal Destinies (Recon and Intel Division) racked up a couple of kills north of Twin.

Here's our Double play: First up a small 51 Ped Global:

and second a larger 87 PED one (Where another CB19 was looted).

Seems we're on a roll again

Ben Coyote a.k.a. "The Blind Sniper"

Seems that we're on a roll.. and this time, Ben Coyote does it again. (This time with a little help from a friend..)

Well I was finishing up a crafting run, (of Simple I semiconductors, and Basic Screws) when I got a PM from my buddy, Mikhail 'Cowfoot' Estes.
(and to be honest here, 'Cowfoot' and I go a long way back. Almost now a full 14 months in game.)

Now 'Cowfoot' had a new blade to try out, a Bicak Kek. (of course it's a shortblade..and I had my TT swords in hand..)

So out we went, hunting. Allophylls, south of TI.

Once we got out to the spot, we went at it.. Cowfoot with his Kek and me with my TT Swords..

Now the first drop was kind of promising.

"hmm... not really even in loot or dmg..." Cowfoot said to me.

So we tried a second.. a mature.

and this time the drop was a little bit better, so I thought for a moment then spoke up.

"That's better, but I think something is up." I said.

"Up? As in Global?" Cowfoot replied.

"Yeah, I mean we must be close. maybe in the next three. " I surmised.

Well we didn't have to wait long.

The next one was an Allophyl Old, and in fact it was great.. cause me and 'Cowfoot' were hacking away at it.. and as it dropped..

Swirlies Popped up.

I said to Cowfoot, "Told ya."

Cowfoot just laughed...

yep a nice little 63 PED Allophyll Old Global.. on the third one of the day.

So we kept going until Cowfoot's Bicak Kek broke, and I had gone through one of my TT swords and was working on my second. (Of course at that point we 'T'ed to TI Riverside, and called it a day..

of course Next time we'll bring 2 swords... (and maybe a few knives..)

After all hunting Allophylls are like cutting down trees,

but anyway, another 63 PED to Temporal Destinies

Benjamin Ben Coyote a.k.a. "The Blind Sniper"

546 PED

I didn't react fast enough to get the swirlies, but here's the proof.

Yep that was one tough bird, but still when you think about it, a good friend of mine who had been away from the game for 6 long months decided to return, and see what was happening.

Now 6 months ago, the last time I saw my friend (Eddie US Brock) was just north of Athena Spaceport, and yes he wasn't too happy about how the game originally started. But that was six months ago.

But today he returned.. and he returned in a way to his former profession, that of a miner.. (and a bit of a hunter).

It was really funny that it was Eddie who wanted to hunt Berycleds today, and it funnier that he asked me where we could hunt some while we got TP's for him.. I suggested we try from Aegis Mound and head north to Aloode.. so off we went..

We were about halfway there when we ran into a berycled provider, and we all know that usually with a 'provider' class mob, a lot of times, loot doesn't drop from them..

and yet we went at it.. Eddie with a CB5, Rick Whatever Janson with his Opalo, and me with a TT Sword.. (What a combination eh?)

But I figured, We'll get nothing out of this tough old bird...

Guess I was wrong on that one eh? I guess I'm going to have to eat berycled, (or is that crow?)

Anyway like Rick said, 546 PED.. and the loot was large, mostly eye oil... about 8.5 to 9 K in all.. the rest? Armor, and miscellaneous items including a berycled skull (Worth 7 PED)

sigh* I guess we'll be having barbeque Bery tonight I guess..

(But rather.. I'll take a can of beans...)

Well, I'm off to bed... night folks.. see you in about 8 hours.
